Looking for answers? You’re exactly where you should be
How often should I go to the dentist?
We typically suggest scheduling a dental visit twice a year. Regular exams allow us to spot issues sooner, which often leads to easier and less expensive treatment, while personal needs may require a customized schedule.
What is the recommended brushing schedule for my teeth?
According to the ADA, brushing at least twice a day is ideal, and it’s best to pause about 30 minutes after acidic beverages or foods before brushing to protect enamel.
Choosing Between Electric and Manual Toothbrushes
Proper technique makes either brush effective, but studies frequently find that electric toothbrushes remove plaque more thoroughly. Sonicare and Oral-B models offer helpful features that target tricky spots and elevate your routine.
At what age should I schedule my child’s first trip to the dentist?
Children can begin seeing the dentist at about age 3, or earlier if they’re able to sit through an exam. Starting young helps us watch their development and establish positive oral care routines.
How can I address ongoing bad breath?
Odors in the mouth are often linked to bacteria, plaque, or periodontal issues. Addressing them may involve a professional cleaning, cleaning the tongue, consistent flossing and mouthwash use, and cutting back on spicy foods. Ongoing bad breath should be evaluated by a dentist.
